I love Brookhaven because of the family atmosphere that’s projected towards staff and residents. I’ve never worked in a place that legitimately felt like home. Loving where you work is a luxury not many people have.

I am proud to say I have been at Brookhaven for 4 years, with the company for 17 years working in Human Resources department. Brookhaven is my second family and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else !
I'm motivated to meet the needs as a staffing coordinator. I am a people person and I love to interact with people from all walks of life. I am a good listener and when the opportunity presents itself I will give words of comfort and hope. A kind word and a smile goes a long way. Working at Brookhaven Healthcare Center has allowed me to meet people who love their profession and and are compassionate about caring for the sick. I am an essential part of a team which meets the needs of our resident's during a time of crisis and dealing with situations beyond their control. My role is to orchestrate the many professionals and find a way to make the resident's transition smooth and easy with compassion and most of all Love....
I have been working in this facility for more than 10 years and I feel like I am home. I believe that working with good and dependable people matters because then the work environment is good. If there is a sense of respect and trust among the people you work with then that’s when the work is done and you feel a sense of fulfillment.

I am a physical therapist by profession who has devoted 12 years of my career here. Brookhaven is like my home away from home. Don’t get me wrong, this is a workplace but working here doesn’t feel like work at all. The family atmosphere and the camaraderie we share as a team is something I am always proud and grateful for.
director of social services
Wayne Cameron, BSW, CSW
I have 20 years of experience heading Social Service Departments in skilled nursing facilities. After working as a weekend social worker for Brookhaven for 4 1/2 years, I became Director in March 2016. Known for wearing a wide array of Hawaiian and tropical shirts on Fridays, everybody knows the weekend is just around the corner when I’m around! Married with one child, he plans on learning to play guitar and starting a band with his daughter.
“What I like best about working at Brookhaven is the dedication and teamwork of the staff. Proof positive that the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts.”

I have been in the field of health and wellness for 10 years now. I first became a registered yoga teacher in 2014 and have been teaching yoga for 8 years. I then obtained my first bachelor’s degree from Rowan University in Health and Exercise Science in 2016. From there, I worked as a dietary aide at Morristown Medical Center from 2018 to 2019. I continued my education at Montclair State University and graduated with a master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science in 2019 while concurrently attending Saint Elizabeth University to obtain my second bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition in 2020. I went on to complete over 1,200 hours of supervised practice at Morristown Medical Center, Pillar Care Continuum, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics through the University of Delaware’s Dietetic Internship program. I then passed the registration examination for dietitians and became a registered dietitian nutritionist in September of 2021! I first worked as the lead dietitian at Feed Me Fine Foods based out of Toronto, Canada where I generated meal plans, provided diet education, and monitored client progress. I then became an adjunct professor at Saint Elizabeth University in January of 2022 and currently serve on the Food and Nutrition Advisory Board for the university. I started working full time as a clinical dietitian at Brookhaven Center for Rehabilitation in February of 2022. I truly love my job and enjoy the ability to connect with residents on a personal level while optimizing or maintaining their nutrition status. It is an honor to be able to witness patient and resident progress based on the interventions I initiate. Lastly, I will be serving on the New Jersey Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Board as the Region 2 Co-Chair for the 2022-2023 Board Year. I love the field of nutrition and dietetics because the possibilities are endless! It is the biggest blessing to be consumed with my passion.
