A Month of Music, Memories, and Celebration
May at Brookhaven was filled with meaningful gatherings, resident celebrations, and moments of appreciation. From Mother’s Day to Nursing Home Week and Memorial Day, the month brought residents and staff together through faith, food, fun, and connection.
ACTIVITIES & EVENTS
Mother’s Day Luncheon
Residents enjoyed a beautiful Mother’s Day luncheon featuring entertainment by Ayesha, a delicious meal of tossed salad, roast beef, green beans, baked potatoes, cheesecake, and strawberry lemonade. Mothers were also honored with lotion and wrist corsages.
Nursing Home Week Celebrations
Brookhaven celebrated Nursing Home Week with fun activities including a scavenger hunt, ice cream social, Zuma class, cookie decorating, Bingo Bizarre, staff bingo, and a staff ice cream social. The week was filled with laughter, movement, creativity, and appreciation.
Beach Canopy Raffle Winner
Congratulations to Ms Faith, MDS Coordinator, for winning the beach canopy raffle. It was a fun moment of recognition during the month’s staff celebrations.
Memorial Day Cookout
Residents enjoyed Brookhaven’s annual Memorial Day cookout with barbecue ribs, chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans, and watermelon for dessert. A special thank you to the Dietary and Activities teams for helping serve such a memorable meal.
