A Month of Music, Memories, and Celebration
August at Brookhaven was filled with lively activities, delicious treats, and plenty of opportunities for residents to connect. From patio games and a western-themed cookout to a creative cooking club favorite, the month brought energy, laughter, and community spirit.

Patio Games
Residents enjoyed time outdoors with fun patio games that encouraged movement, friendly competition, and social connection.
Western-Themed Summer Cookout
Inclement weather may have moved the cookout indoors, but it did not stop the fun. Residents enjoyed hot dogs, cheeseburgers, barbecue, corn on the cob, baked beans, and refreshing watermelon while dancing, clapping, and embracing the western theme. A special shout-out to the Activities and Dietary departments, along with Latoya for capturing the memories.
Walking Banana Pudding Cooking Club
Cooking Club served up a creative twist on a classic dessert with individual “walking banana pudding” treats. Residents received their own bags filled with vanilla wafers, bananas, and pudding, making for a fun and delicious hands-on activity.
